JIC-Magic , New 2012 Coilover line to be made in the USA
JIC-Magic's new USA made coilover system:
JIC Magic Suspension (JIC)/Ziel Motorsports (ZMS) are proud to announce a new line of street and track coilovers. All new JIC Suspension coilover kits will be manufactured at JIC Magic USA in Alhambra, CA. The new product line-up will cover a much greater spectrum of needs starting with the dedicated street car all the way up to fully purpose-built race cars. ZMS and JIC used their long history in motorsports and suspension development to design these revolutionary new coilover systems from the ground up. These cutting-edge coilover kits will include a newly designed piston, more shim options than were previously available, a greater range of adjustment and amazing developments in the technology used for internal oil flow in a monotube damper. JIC is proud to release innovative designs in oil control; without the industry standard needle valve to adjust oil flow. The new oil flow control systems in place in the RS, and RS-4 dampers give you a more linear and much broader range of adjustment when compared to other companies’ needle valve
The entire lineup of JIC’s new coilover kits has been completely redesigned from the ground up. With so much experience in production, tuning and maintenance, JIC Magic USA has an upper hand in designing a new product because they know what works and what doesn’t; giving the new product lineups the greatest reliability and performance possible. JIC will be offering 2-way and 4-way dampers with a multi adjustable damper making it possible to get a great street ride while still allowing you to adjust for the aggressive corner carving attitude you want for spirited or track driving. Conventional single way adjustable dampers only allow for adjustment of rebound leaving the compression side set wherever the manufacturer feels is a good compromise of ride and performance. While rebound adjustment is important, it is the compression side that gives a much bigger change in ride quality allowing the user to adjust for comfort or performance. This is why JIC feels that single way systems are obsolete and multi adjustable systems are necessary even for dedicated street cars.
For street and track users, the RS 2-way adjustable damper will allow a much greater range of tuning for comfort and performance. With 30 different adjustments on both compression and rebound, it allows the customer 900 different setups giving an uncompromising coilover system for both amazing ride quality and serious corner carving.
For the more serious customers, JIC will release the 4-way adjustable RS-4 damper. This will allow adjustment of high speed and low speed rebound and compression dampening. High speed dampening will be noticeable on the street when the damper hits a bump or pothole as this causes the damper to react quickly. Low speed will be more apparent on smooth roads and track driving where the damper is reacting slower to changes in pitch and yaw of the chassis. High and low speed compression and rebound can be adjusted 15 and 30 ways respectively, to give the customer the ability to set up the suspension exactly to their preference of comfort and performance. This will give them a huge advantage at the track while retaining the comfort of street driving.
