You can see the seller outrage here:
eBay is now charging a fee on shipping. Their spokes-hole Orwellian double-talk PR department will the tell you it's to lower shipping costs, but it has the exact opposite effect.
You see eBay used to only charge a commission of 10% on the price of the item and nothing on shipping.
Now that eBay wants to raise their fees again, eBay will now take a cut out of shipping! 12.5%, so how will sellers compensate for this? By raising their shipping prices by 12.5%. Shipping commission 9% + paypal 3.5%!
NOTICE TO MY VALUED CUSTOMERS:
BEGINNING IN APRIL, EBAY IS FORCING ALL SELLERS TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL 9% ON THEIR SHIPPING FEES.
THEREFORE, I AM GOING TO HAVE TO RAISE MY SHIPPING RATES TO 12.5% OVER ACTUAL COST.
THIS INCLUDES THE 9% FOR EBAY AND THE 3.5% FOR PAYPAL(WHICH IS OWNED BY EBAY)
MANY SELLERS ARE UP IN ARMS OVER THIS, MANY SELLERS WILL BE LEAVING EBAY, AND THIS FORCES US TO CHARGE YOU,OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS, HIGHER RATES.
IF YOU DISAGREE WITH THIS POLICY CHANGE WITH EBAY, I WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU TO CONTACT THEM & LET THEM KNOW.
